Chezik Tsunoda
Chezik Tsunoda is a director and producer whose work spans television, film, and advertising, with a focus on socially impactful storytelling. Early in her career, Tsunoda worked with BET, MTV News & Docs, and HBO. She later served as a Development Producer at VH1 before joining Digital Kitchen, where she gained experience in the commercial and advertising space.These experiences helped shape her approach to storytelling and eventually led her to pursue documentary filmmaking.
Her award-winning documentary "Drowning in Silence" received international recognition for its examination of critical issues surrounding water safety. In 2025, Tsunoda was awarded the SIFF Courageous Documentary Filmmaking Grant for her documentary "Under a Million Stars", which explores homelessness through the experiences of people seeking stable housing in Seattle.
As the founder of Visually Inspired Productions and Visually Inspired Foundation, Tsunoda is committed to creating content that amplifies underrepresented voices, fosters empathy, and sparks meaningful conversations while investing in artists and storytellers whose work has the power to create positive social change.
